Gun Owners of America Supports Corey Gardner for Congress

Dear Friend of the Second Amendment,

From his days in the state legislature to his service in the U.S. House, where he battles gun grabbers like Nancy Pelosi on a daily basis, Rep. Corey Gardner has remained steadfast in his support of the Second Amendment. For this reason, Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund is proud to endorse Corey in Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District.

A Pro-Gun Leader

As a state representative, Cory Gardner was at the forefront in protecting gun owners. A firm believer that citizens have the right to protect themselves inside and outside of the home, Cory authored a bill to expand Colorado’s Castle Doctrine law.

Known as the “Make My Day Better” bill, his bill would extend the same right of self-defense to people at businesses that are currently held by individuals in their homes. In the face of fierce opposition from the anti-gun lobby, Cory introduced that bill five different times in the State House.

He also strongly supported a bill that would allow a concealed carry permit to be a substitute for a background check when purchasing a gun. And in Congress, Cory is the cosponsor of several bills to roll back unconstitutional gun control restrictions.

Corey Garder is a proven fighter on behalf of the Second Amendment, one who has never turned his back on Colorado’s gun owners.

His opponent, on the other hand, just doesn’t trust the people with their firearms. Brandon Shaffer has earned an “F” rating for opposing the Second Amendment in the state legislature since 2004.

Unlike Corey Gardner, he opposes the right of citizens to carry firearms for self-protection, and he supports “gun free zones” that make citizens more vulnerable to criminal attack.

Obama and Pelosi Want to Make This a Swing District

Liberal anti-gun Democrats would love to take this seat because it puts Nancy Pelosi one step closer to regaining the Speaker’s Chair, enabling her to push her gun control agenda.

Outside groups have dumped several hundred thousand dollars into defeating Corey, believing that if Obama wins big in Colorado he may create a tailwind for other Democrats down ballot.

This is a seat gun owners need to protect; we cannot afford to lose any friends of the Second Amendment that we have in Congress.
