Gun Owners of America Supports Bill Johnson for Congress

Dear Friend of the Second Amendment,

Gun Owners of America Political Victory Fund enthusiastically supports Bill Johnson for Congress in Ohio’s 6th District.

Congressman Johnson is a true friend of liberty. He earned an “A” rating from GOA for a perfect pro-gun voting record, and he is a leader in Washington defending our gun rights.

His opponent, on the other hand, claims to be pro-gun but his record tells a different story. Former Rep. Charlie Wilson turned out to be a reliable vote for former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

In 2009, Wilson voted three times against protecting gun rights in national parks. He also voted for the anti-gun Obamacare bill, ignoring the concerns of gun owners that a national health database could be used by federal bureaucrats to disarm law-abiding Americans.

He even supports mandatory trigger locks, which would interfere in your reaction time during a home invasion robbery.

Wilson also voted for the so-called DISCLOSE Act, which would prevent groups like GOA from criticizing an incumbent’s voting record in the months leading up to an election. A blatant violation of the First Amendment, DISCLOSE should more accurately be called the “Incumbent Protection Act.”

The choice for gun owners is clear. Rep. Bill Johnson respects your constitutional rights, while his opponent has a history of buckling under pressure from Nancy Pelosi.

I urge Ohio gun owners and sportsmen to support Bill Johnson with a financial contribution.

Rep. Johnson doesn’t just talk the talk; he walks the walk. He’s emerged as a Second Amendment leader in Congress, cosponsoring legislation to repeal unconstitutional gun laws as well as a constitutional concealed carry reciprocity bill.

Like GOA, Bill is uncompromising on the issue of your gun rights. And that’s why Nancy Pelosi and her allies have targeted him for defeat. A win here puts Pelosi one step closer to reclaiming the Speakership, which would enable her to push her radical gun control agenda.
